For over 18 years, IRON HORSE has served
fine food and drink at the corner of the busiest rail line in the
East. It’s difficult to miss – our two-story sign is an
undeniable landmark in Ashland, VA where you’re always “Welcome
back.”
Our seasonal, Southern modern American menu offers fresh regional
seafood, hand cut steaks, market-driven features and chef-inspired
nightly specials. For lunch, light entrees and a café-style
sandwich menu – featuring selections named after local
personalities – are presented with house made salads and freshly
made desserts. A lite fare menu is offered in our bar for
after-lunch snacking and through the evening.
IRON HORSE offers several dining options to meet the desires of
locals, travelers and destination diners. A welcoming upscale-casual
Bistro on one hand and an inviting neighborhood pub on the other –
both with views of the trains.
IRON
HORSE also features a private dining room that can accommodate up to
25 seated guests or 45 standing for personalized special events. Dining reservations are
gladly taken and encouraged on the weekends or for parties of 6 or
more.
